There’s something about having a little one around the house that makes Christmas, and even winter in general, that much more exciting. You can suggest things like ice skating and visiting the winter train village…for the kids…and everyone thinks it’s a great idea. You can bribe the little ones with hot chocolate and gooey fudge and reap the rewards just the same. You find yourself getting excited over twinkling lights and homeless men playing the tuba — perhaps you do a little dance in the street. You can shout, “Yaaaayyyy”, with your arms in the air…and it’s okay…as long as the kids are nearby. This year, my greatest gifts have been times like these with my family.
