Family Portraits | Holiday Sessions

Ralphie as Adult: [chuckling] Ho, ho, but no matter. Christmas was on its way. Lovely, glorious, beautiful Christmas, upon which the entire kid year revolved.  –A Christmas Story

Oh, boys and girls. Can you feel it? That’s Christmas just two weeks away! Of course that means I’m in a mad dash to squeeze in and bust out as many family holiday sessions as possible by next week. I turn up the holiday mix on my itunes and sip whiskey to fight off the cold that is my basement apartment. The cheery, warm afterglow makes the editing process not only enjoyable…but downright soothing.

This family has been photographed by me sooo many times this year. They love their little bug and I love to capture his many adorable expressions. Not to sound all commercial but…this session comes to you from Swanson’s Nursery in Ballard where natural light and covered spaces are in abundance. It was the perfect location with so many great backdrops. Even Santa and his reindeer’s…and for some reason a camel and miniature donkey…were on site spreading holiday cheer.

I am now thoroughly infected by all the holly jolliness and have officially caught the holiday bug. Steve and I are prepping for our first ever “portraits of us as a couple not taken in self portrait style with outstretched hands or a timer” tomorrow morning!! This is monumental peeps. I can hardly contain myself.

In the meantime, check out the ever fabulous Josh, Jeanine and baby Liam’s latest family session…

And of course there’s a slideshow. There’s always a slide show. Enjoy!
