Stephanie | Class of 2010 | The Color Issue

Stephanie’s senior session took place on the eve of Daylight Savings when it instantly grew much darker, much earlier, overnight. It was also Halloween, so dark and spooky things were crowding in from every direction. But inside the Seattle Central Library we rocked color so hard and so bright your eyes might need a warning to proceed with caution. How heavenly (and challenging) it was to shoot in hallways and stairwells painted bright red, orange and pink from floor to ceiling; neon yellow and green stairwells; giant reading rooms engulfed in natural blue light; purple couches and polka dot walls.

Friends, allow me to introduce Stephanie; a hoodie and jeans kind of girl who knows how to rock her natural beauty in the most stunning ways. Her understated elegance and gentle demeanor seemed to make our two hours together simply disappear in the blink of an eye. What a pleasure it was to photograph this girl! Many thanks Stephanie for allowing my images to become a part of your family’s history. It’s truly an honor.

I wish you all the best for your senior year and in all your future endeavors! Hopefully we’ll get to do it again sometime. Perhaps family pictures are up next? In the meantime, check out the slideshow…
