It’s true. We really do live in a beautiful place. Seattle is one of the prettiest cities I’ve seen. We have all four seasons, mountains, lakes, rivers, ocean, beaches, hiking, incredible foliage and the most amazing parks. I feel like I have to “say it out loud” especially this time of year when we’re on the cusp of our rainy, gray, cold season where no color will be seen for the next six months. Come November, Seattle goes into hibernation and it’ll be hard to find any of us outside our caves. But, it’s only October and last weekend was absolutely breathtaking. I met this good lookin’ family at the Washington Park Arboretum which is a couple hundred acres of awesomeness all by itself. Yet, this family raised the stakes by entering the 3 1/2 acre Japanese Garden designed and constructed under the supervision of world-renowned Japanese garden designer Juki Iida. Ironically, the rest of Seattle seemed to have the same bright idea and the park was jam packed with photographers and families wanting to soak in every last drop of color and breath of fresh air.
If I were giving out awards for awesomeness, Seattle gets first place but Stephanie definitely takes second. This hot mama crammed three photo sessions into one subsequently knocking out their first family portraits, Halloween, and holiday cards in just two hours. High-five Steph! It’s only October and you’re already waaaay ahead of the curve. Plus, she has a good lookin’ family! They make Fall look sexy…

You recognize this little cutie, yes? I shot Sage’s one year pics this summer at Edmonds Beach! I love repeat customers and I knew this session would be fantastic. They’re all so darn photogenic!

This next family shot is my favorite of the whole session. The colors! The composition! The smiles! Love. It. And how about Big Sis Chole? She is simply dolly. When she saw all the pictures we took of her baby sis she said, “I want pictures for my birthday!”. Okay, it’s not her birthday but I did get lots of great pictures of her by her fabulous self. This should help even things out Chloe!

And just like that, it’s Halloween! Tinkerbell was not thrilled about it but I got some precious shots of her sweetness anyway…

…while Chloe rocked out her bumblebee costume! And just like that, it was Christmas…

Insert mistletoe and crackling fire here….

I can hear the carols already! Falalalalalalalala….

We ended the session with hugs and high-fives and in another universe I took Steph out for a bottle of wine. Instead, we settled on a future girls night out. From client to friend…that’s just we roll around here! Now go watch their uber cool slideshow…
