He’s about to begin a year of lasts. The last football games, last dances, and final exams. His final words will be printed boldly as a senior quote next to one of these pictures and for the next ten years this is how his peers will remember him. This will probably be his last formal picture until those on his wedding day. This is the final year of a twelve year journey.
Senioritis will set in in just a couple months and he’ll be looking ahead at college applications, graduation trips and the freedom that’s, oh so close. But on this day, we weren’t thinking about any of that. On this day, we wandered around Georgetown talking about old buildings and laughing. On this day, just one week before his senior year begins, there was nervousness and excitement in the air.

Georgetown is one of my favorite neighborhoods to photograph in. Around every corner is another cool building, alley or fence. The possibilities are endless! This senior wants to be a commercial pilot when he grows up. I thought it was kind of cool to have the “Airport Way” street signs in the background of this picture.

I love everything about this next shot. His expression, the contrast, the depth of field….he brought the awesome!

The light inside this building nook was perfect! It really adds somethin’ special to the image I think.

Poor guy probably hated me at this moment…which is why I saved it for the end of our session! He had a bit of an audience while we took pictures around the airport. Love the look he’s giving!

Talk about a great model. We got so many different expressions and poses! I think this’ll make a great portfolio…if I do say so myself.
