Today is our two year anniversary! We’re having a three day celebration. Last night we went to the Puyallup Fair and rode the ferris wheel. We’re both pretty scared of that ride but talked ourselves into it after a trip to the beer garden and after seeing that the seats were more like buckets with umbrellas than the traditional rickety basket that threatens to tip over and dump you down onto the crowds below. Up, up and a way went and thank god we had the camera to keep us busy so we didn’t freak out when they left us hanging at the tippy top. We had such a good time that somehow we found ourselves waiting in line for the roller coaster ride next. Steve cried like a baby sat frozen in terror for the duration of the ride…but hey…we did it!
And, I seriously have the BEST husband evER! He MADE me a fancy bench for our little porch. We kinda have a thing about benches. One particular bench played a very significant role on our first date so this gift has an extra special place in my heart. I’ll take pictures of it later this evening.
Tonight we’re going to have a picnic at Kite Hill and fly our kites. Then tomorrow night we’re having dinner at Sutra! It’s a new vegetarian restaurant owned by the same people who own Rain City Yoga, my favorite hot yoga place here in Seattle. There menu changes every few days and they only do two seatings a night – which means everyone dines at the same time – to a pre-set four course meal. Ah.maz.ing. Can’t wait to tell you all about it!
