Kostine Family | Portraits at the Arboretum

Check out this good lookin’ family! I had a blast hanging out with them at the Washington Park Arboretum. The weather was picture perfect and we covered a lot of ground in this couple hundred acre park. Can you believe these are their very first professional family pictures? They told me they’ve been wanting to do it for some time now and had been checking out several other photographers and studios. I felt privileged to be the one to do the honors and capture their family portrait.

I’ve driven under this pedestrian bridge so many times and each time I’ve commented to myself how I’d love to photograph it. Now I can check that off my list! I definitely want to go back and try more shots up there in the future.

Do you remember what it felt like to be eleven? This little darling is about to start sixth grade. Her favorite color is pink and she carries around an adorable bag in a lovely shade of fuchsia. It’s filled with girlie things like lip gloss and hair clips and even an extra sweater. Watching her tween mannerisms brought back a flood of good memories.

Now this handsome devil was a rocket fueled five year old. Imagine a giant balloon being deflated in a small room. It zips this way and that while you run, jump and dodge. It was a workout in the best kind of way.

Aww, the Mama & Papa. Such beauty. Such love.

Thank you for a wonderful evening at the park, Elina! I enjoyed meeting your family and I hope you love your photos. Be sure to check out the slide show to see the rest of the session!
