Kayden is a year and a half bundle of energy. During our photo-shoot he enjoyed running up and down hills, climbing stairs, playing chase, and cavorting around the playground. His mom, dad and I simply followed him around and attempted to keep him out of the mud. Such a happy boy! Here’s a sneak peak at some of the great shots from the day:

Toddler + Overalls = Cute Overload. Check out the happy bokeh in the background! I love how the circles contrast so perfectly with his stripes.
Would you believe I took this next shot while walking backwards as Kayden ran towards me? I wasn’t even looking through the viewfinder. I love happy accidents like this shot. His little giggle tells such a great story.
I swear there are a bunch of color pictures too, but these shots just begged to be in black & white. To me, there is something so classic and timeless about this shot.
With an expression like this how could you ever be mad at him? I’m such a sucker. I just want to scoop him up and smother him with kisses.
It’s been so fun getting outside and doing photo-shoots in this great spring weather. Although, I was really bummed that it poured all day yesterday. We didn’t get outside to take any Easter pictures and the egg hunt was restricted to the living room. But how can I complain really – I’ll be in Maui soaking up 80F weather in just four days! My head is spinning with ideas for photographing Nicole & Isaac’s wedding day and it turns out we’re on the same flight with them out of Seattle to the island! I think I’m going to need more memory cards…
