I love spending Sunday’s with my family. It’s a tradition that we’ve had a hard time keeping up with lately but when we manage to pull it off we have such a great time together.
This Sunday we decided on a last minute outing to La Connor. It’s such a charming town right on the water with lots of cute shops. Surrounding the town are fields of flowers and other garden goodies. We were hoping to catch the beginning of the Tulip Festival that happens this time every year but it turns out we were at least a week too early. We didn’t see any tulips blooming yet but there were plenty of daffodils to be seen!
I easily took a hundred pictures of the day but this one is by far my favorite. I love everything about it and not just because he’s my ridiculously adorable nephew.
We jumped in puddles, ran through fields, sang songs and drove around aimlessly in a minivan. I love that my sisters and our others don’t even think twice when I yell from the back seat, “Pull over! Pull over!” because there is something awesome I want to photograph. I love that they wait patiently while I work and suggest other cool things to snap while I’m at it. And I love that we all agreed it would be a great idea to strip my nephew down to his birthday suit and plop him into the middle of a daffodil field while screaming all for the sake of art. It was so much fun – I’ve got the pictures to prove it.
