You’ve Got {vintage} Mail

Those lovely ladies over at Shutter Sisters served up a second dose of Jamie love today! This picture of old mailboxes was another great capture from my Seattle Flickr Meetupphoto-shoot at the old Bair Drug & Hardware store this weekend and it is being featured in today’s Daily Click. {woah that was a mouthful}

 

This was only my third time shooting with a 50mm 1.4 lens and I just love experimenting with it – pushing it’s capabilities. Different lenses really make you see things differently. I know that’s kind of a “duh” statement but – really – it really does.

Bridgette - I love this. Over here in Belgium on the base we still have OLD MAILBOXES JUST LIKE THAT. I will take a picture and let you see. I love checking my mail, thinking who had this before. It is cool to not just have a key but do the letter combo. Very vintage. COngrats on having your spectular skills being noticed and put on SS.

robin bird - i have been all turned inside out as far as timing goes. i have been browsing through your old and new posts and just cannot pass this photo up. i didn’t even know it was famous over at SS but loved it for it’ secret identity, post office box number ‘something’ 85. i so wish i could join in at your meet-up but alas i am not in the proper state :( LOVE this seriously LOVE this!
