Over at BlogHer they’re doing a fun “Letter To My Heart” series. It gave me the idea to do my own series right here at Umbrella Blog and combine the project with a fantastic line-up of Guest Contributors. All week, leading up to Valentine’s Day, I’ll feature a different “Letter to My Heart” from my favorite “non-bloggers”.
First up is Ryan! Ryan lives in Rexburg, Idaho with his new bride. He is a competitive dancer and is studying to run his own dance studio. Welcome to Umbrella Blog Ryan!

Dear Heart,
I can’t write to you of anything inspiring. Perhaps it’s because you are where my inspiration comes from.
I can’t tell you of all the adventures and places and things we’ve shared, because you’re the one who keeps them.
I can’t even explain how I’ve come here to this part in my life, because I’ve only followed you to it.
I know you’re with me always.
I can see you in all I do. I can see you encourage me forward in the things I try to do; you get me excited about my work and my goals and give me reason to finish them – to see them through.
I can hear you. I can hear you in my thoughts; you teach me what it will take and what I must do. You whisper what I want and what I need and how I can continue.
I can feel you in my chest. I can feel you beat; you give me warmth and strength. Sometimes you feel heavy and sometimes you are light.
My Heart, I know you and you know me better than I know you. You give me so much thought and I give little to you. But I thank you, for giving my feet a steady path to follow; for keeping the fun, the dreams the places and things I’ve shared with you, and for being my life; my vesture of inspiration.
In life I rely on you. In the night I will find you. In my dreams I will unite with you. In the morning I will miss you.
Love,
Ryan
